James Hartman
Managing Director
Jim Hartman is a senior executive with over 20 years of operations, finance, acquisition, divestiture and business integration experience in a global manufacturing and services environment.
Mr. Hartman spent 19 years in management at Tyco International, most recently as a Division President of A&E Products Group, a $400 million global plastics manufacturer. He also held a number of key executive level positions including Vice President of Finance, Corporate Controller and Division Controller while working for organizations in the plastics, metal fabrication and fire and security industries.
In addition to his operational expertise, Mr. Hartman has extensive experience researching and identifying potential target companies for acquisition for the organizations he managed. His "hands-on" involvement included leading and participating in the negotiations, due diligence and closing stages of the M&A process. As well, he identified, structured, negotiated and closed numerous joint venture and licensing deals while at A&E. He also led the integration teams for several successfully closed deals.
Throughout much of his career, Mr. Hartman has been involved with business and infrastructure developments in Asia, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East. He has led the effort to develop strategic partnerships and license agreements, re-organization and revitalization, strategic planning, building global sales, finance and operational infrastructures, global sourcing, supplier negotiations, union negotiations and business development.
Mr. Hartman earned his B.A. in accounting from The Catholic University of America.
